Your assumption very well may be right. Just didn't know if I was missing something. Only range I ever inquired about renting required me to have a gun already to avoid the suicide scenario.

I remember reading about that. Happens more often than it should. Just a few weeks ago, a guy walked into Chuck's Gun and Pawn where I live, bought a shotgun/ammo, walked outside and did the same thing.
