I just spoke w a comp shooter the day. We were talking about reloading and I asked if he was loading/shooting low powered ammo. He said just the opposite! He loads for close to 1400fps! I was taken back in surprise. He explained that it lowers the chance of cycling failure and takes advantage of the porting and compensator on the muzzle end. Good stuff, but I was shocked to say the least. His race gun was a polymer 1911 lower w a caspian slide. All machined up, beat up and just super cool. Actually, it looked just like max michels gun.
