On May 8, Marlon Brown was being chased by DeLand police because they allegedly saw that he was not wearing a seatbelt. At a dead-end road, Brown stopped his car and started running.
One of the police cars hit and ran him over, its dashcam video recording the entire incident.
Last week, a grand jury decided not to indict officer James Harris on a criminal charge of vehicular manslaughter. That's when the family decided to go public, and release the video.

Honestly I don't see what the cop did wrong, he was pursuing. He's not required to hop out and chase him on foot, and to call this a calculated execution is a bit presumptuous. Any thoughts from cops or other LEO's on a situation like this? how do you balance the use of a car which can easily turn deadly?

Cops. You can't run to them, and you can't run from them.

Heeh, heh, heh, now that's funny!

Honestly it looks like home chicken slipped running and the patrol car couldn't stop fast enough on grass and whacked him. Errors of both parties concerned.

Now what's the reason that home chicken ran? Seatbelt? Doubtful, I expect there is much being omitted for home chickens benefit.

Take a look at the officer, would anyone in their right mind expect him to chase anyone on foot and be successful. A car was the only chance he had to apprehend the runner.

Edit:

I read the attached link, Mr. Brown was an upstanding citizen a true asset to society and his presence will be sorely missed. His girl cashed in >$500K and is probably investing that money into an honest business and giving to charity.......
