I think the dog being a dog went for the chicken and the guy killed the dog out of anger and lied about it coming at him, just my opinion

This thread wasn't about your dog. I'm sure if your dog is that important to you then you care for him correctly and make sure he's not off killing livestock and threatening humans. You have nothing to worry about.

why is it not ok to kill a dog thats killing livestock. but its ok to threaten to kill a person for killing a dog that is killing livestock?

Never underestimate the stupidity of modern man/woman and their dogs. I love my dogs, but they ain't my "babies". They're dogs. If they hurt someone for no good reason, I would put them down myself.

and im not making up a completely fabricated statement. You found ONE definition stating chickens arnt livestock but there plenty that DO include them and i can guarantee the farmers that do the actual raising of these animals would consider them livestock. But what are you even trying to argue here, that one definition classifies the animal as one thing and another classifies it as something different, but in what way do either of those definitions change what this dog did and how it should be punished, or are you just trying to argue because your bored.

Chickens aren't livestock. That's why I am able to raise them in my backyard in a neighborhood. They are treated as poultry and even pets more than livestock.
