Meanwhile in Massachusetts

yep S&W and Savage whatcha gonna do? drink the kool aid like the liberal asswipes always do?

I don't think Savage will care... they don't make many semi-autos, and the law has always excluded manufacturers.

Smith is an interesting case though, since almost every long gun they make would be banned from sale in the state they are made in.

I'd like to think they will open plants elsewhere, but it's not an easy thing to do. You can bet that the topic will be coming up a lot though, and I don't think that you will see the same corporate 'head in the sand' outlook they had back in the 90s when they were part of a conglomerate.

On the flip side, people still buy Kimbers and Remingtons, and they are made in NY (Kimbers in NY City) for pity's sake.

Unfortunately... from what I've been reading, it's always been the AG's prerogative as to what constitutes an 'assault weapon' in Mass. The way the law is written that office has the final determination.

The interesting thing is 'why now?'.

My guess is that Sen. Warren will be announced at the Dem convention as the VP, and this gives her the ability to push the Dems new found love of gun control as an election issue. I would expect her to trumpet this and say something like 'if we can do it in Mass, we can do it nationwide'.

And since Hillary believes that the SCOTUS 'got Heller wrong' if she gets elected you can be 100% sure that she will pack the court with justices that believe that as well.

I hope you are right. Elizabeast will further guarantee a Hitlery loss. Of course I believe she is going to lose, anyway....

I just don't think Hillary can pick anyone else and keep the Left side of the party involved. The Bernie fans will sit this one out if you don't have some kind of pseudo-Socialist on the ticket, but she has to move to the center to have a hope of winning. It's the same deal as Trump with Pence.

The VP pick lets them pin down the wings of the party when the candidate moves center for the general election. That was one of Romney's mistakes, Ryan was just as middle-of-the-road as he was and it left the conservatives cold (and at home) while Obama walked away with it due to the incumbent advantage. I really think that if Romney had picked Newt he'd be president right now.

If you're looking at a model where a Clinton/Warren ticket doesn't win 40 states, I would love to know what it is. I haven't seen it and can't find it.

No way Warren will be picked. She was literally the last liberal senator to endorse the Hildebeast. I hope she is the one though...

Then you aren't looking.

As I said, I am asking for info and sources. By all means, enlighten me.

Fact is, Elizabeth Warren is better at populist politics than Trump is and has been doing it a lot longer. I'm not advocating for her by any means, but I am saying that if you put the two of them onstage and ask "what would you do", Trump's answer will end with "believe me" and Warren will have a list of specific proposals that will go into detail the likes of which the Trump campaign has yet to fathom. Populism / blue-collar job security and working-class prosperity is her actual wheelhouse. And she's good at it. It's not where he wants to fight her.

Also she's not intimidated by him. There's been little he can do against folks like that.

The Clinton/Warren ticket remains the worst case scenario for anyone supporting Trump.

And yet you give your liberal loving opinion and no sources. I find it hilarious that you believe that Nazi can defeat Trump. Do you really believe that 16 Republican opponents who could not even compete with Trump were not well versed on the "issues", according to the political talking heads? Trump will win. He is your next president. Deal with it. Good night, sleep tight, don't let the liberal bugs bite.

I don't believe anyone has touched on this from the earlier posts I have read but I think it is vital for people here on the ODT and other gun loving websites to strongly consider joining (if they haven't already) their local and national gun organizations such as the NRA, Georgia Carry, 2nd Amendment Foundation and Gun Owners of America to name a few. Without these organizations and others alike being around our gun rights would be so watered down that BB guns would be about the only thing accessible to many citizens. Just imagine if instead of only 5 million NRA members that there were upwards of 20, 30 or 50 million NRA members right now! Just something to ponder as we read with each passing day about our gun rights getting stripped down to the bare minimum in many parts of our country.

Anyways, just my two cents.
