I was giving this some thought but I agree it seems priced a little high (and shipping to me is $20) and the department number engraved on the receiver would drive me nuts. It would be a different story if I could purchase this in person and see the condition it is in. I've seen a lot of Mini 14 posts here for about $650 in new/like new condition.

I used to love plinking around with my Mini's. But I think you can get a new Ruger AR 556 for about that price now can't you?
