Morels, it's what's for dinner

Hit one of my morel spots saturday and struck gold!!! Found a pile of massive yellow morels. Only setback was that I had to negotiate with the big copperhead that was guarding the bounty, but he was peaceable.
Sautéed them on the flat top along side scallops and marinated shrimp. Toasted some fresh baked garlic bread to top it all off. Talk about top notch!!

What area is your honey hole? I've only found a few tulip morels and that was a month ago.

Those come from jackson county. I missed them by a week or so.....found probably twice that many that were dead.
