10/22 but I prefer my Marlin 39A.
You are most likely correct. At least in this century. However, im kinda partial to my old Winchester 62A and Marlin 39A. And damn, I just noticed they both have an "A" in the model classification. Anyone want to educate me on that?
The Marlin 60 has to be a close second but there is no more popular 22 rifle platform than the 10/22. The availability of aftermarket parts proves that point. You can actually build a 10/22 with no factory Ruger parts involved. Kinda like building a Harley from the frame up with no HD factory parts .
My first 22 was a Browning semi auto.
