And the net bag thingy is called a "brass magnet". But I think northern sells that net tarp dealy for 1/2 the price. Ill be making one myself.

Ever think about just getting one of them cheap ground blinds or pop up tents, then just shoot from inside. Extra shade during the summer, wind block during the winter, and water proof for the rain. Not so great for pistol shooting unless you kneel or prop it up (looks goofy). Just a thought since none of the catchers seem to work...I've been trying to train the kids for years now and they still loose brass in the tall grass.

I have seen "The nut wizard" device in action and it works, even in gravel. Picks every bit of brass up.

i went to tractor supply and bought a 20x20 tarp and that is what i use.stand on the edge about 3 ft from the front corner and you might lose a couple pieces of brass but that is it has worked really good for me.

This is exactly what I use and works great. Especially with our fallen leaf forest floor. That hides .45ACP's very well. That's when I thought of the tarp, no more siftiing through leaves. I tried to get a patent...but...
