Who in this thread or in the OP has EVER suggested that? The bolded part?
No one to my knowledge, but asking someone to purchase a gun, or giving them money is not "gifting". How many meetings with the ATF have you had regarding straw purchases?

None. Therefore I MUST be wrong. No one to my knowledge, but asking someone to purchase a gun, or giving them money is not "gifting". How many meetings with the ATF have you had regarding straw purchases?
OK, carry on. I'll do it my way and you hoe your own row. Don't really care.None. Therefore I MUST be wrong.
Now you can't give someone money as a 'gift' either? Your point, tenuous that it is, has ZERO to do with the OP.
Everyone knows if someone asks you to buy a gun for them and then PAYS you for it, it is a straw purchase. And no, you can't buy a gun and give it as a gift to a felon regardless of payment. The form is clear. Everyone likewise knows that if your otherwise legally eligible son asks you to buy him a gun for a gift and you do, it's NOT a straw purchase.
Fair enough. The great thing is NEITHER one of us will get in trouble.OK, carry on. I'll do it my way and you hoe your own row. Don't really care.

Peace.
Its against the law to buy for someone else regardless if he is your son or not. No handguns to be owned by under 21 year olds. Just saying.
