I have to say, the surgeon did an outstanding job. It almost looks like your finger was never there. You would really have to be looking for it to even notice.

Yes he did do an awesome job. I hold my hand that way on purpose though. If I hold it like this. It's more noticeable

The more amazing part to me is how well they put the inside of my hand back together. It's hard to explain but I know a few people that had similar accidents. They are not able to lift things that are heavy. I can lift up to around 50lbs with out pain. I assume as the muscle structure grows and heals I will be able to lift more. At first just picking up a 5lb bag of potatoes hurt like no other. Now it's getting stronger and holds together better. It used to fell like my hand was about to rip in two

I grew up In Rabun and Union counties in the late 60's.

You'd a fit right In there

Quite a few of the locals had less than 10 fingers. But it was usually a result of not enough forks in the family tree.

Man! The hand looks awesome...You should hug your surgeon! Looks like you have full ROM now. Oh, EXCELLENT choice on the wedding band...

I've had mine for about 10 years now, and other than taking the shine off it, it's near indestructible. Notice I didn't say "bullet proof"? hehe
