My 1st and last ND Very nasty pics. I get to go back to work

good luck with your pt man

No more pt. I went to two pt sessions and she told me there was really no reason for me to come back. I work. You hand all day every day. I have finally got around 80lbs of grip strength in my left hand. I guess most can't stand the pain of working to recover. Or that is what I was told by the physical therapist.

Man! The hand looks awesome...You should hug your surgeon! Looks like you have full ROM now. Oh, EXCELLENT choice on the wedding band...

I've had mine for about 10 years now, and other than taking the shine off it, it's near indestructible. Notice I didn't say "bullet proof"? hehe

Thanks brother. The wife didn't care for the silver and black look I found the black and blue ceramic on amazon for $22. She likes it and I love it. We still need to go shooting. My second boy should be here next month. I'll be down there for a week or so when she has the baby. She doesn't trust the hospital up here. That's partly because the only hospital that could take care of my hand was Asheville that's a two hour drive from my place. I think that was part of the reason I lost my finger. It was literally black by the time the ambulance got me there

Well my fingers are back to the same size as they were pre dumb ass. I have started to notice a few things. I get tingly feeling from the middle finger I no longer have along with pain. I have to rub my fingers or it wont go away. Its very strange . also get symptoms very similar to arthritis. To be fair I had arthritis issues before from being a mechanic but its Much worse now. I have full range of motion and a lot more strength. I still get mad when I try to cup my hand to hold things ie bullets. They fall straight through the damn gap. Lol. In all honesty its not to bad. I'd much rather have all my fingers but hey it is what it is. I have no one to blame but me. Please stay safe and always always point that thing in a safe direction. I'd like to re emphasize this happened because I got complacent in my firearm handling techniques. I assure you I shoot with a much different frame of mind now.. If any one ever breaks in and I'm home I most likely would not shoot unless I was forced too by there ignorance or aggressive actions. Most likely would put the sights on there melon and instruct them to get on there face with there hands on there head. After being shot I don't want to cause that pain to anyone unless its 200% needed. I used to be that guy that would have pulled the trigger as soon as a foot came through the threshold. Not anymore. This has been a very sobering experience. I'm not saying I would never shoot but the thought of how bad it hurt would make me less trigger happy in this type of situation. Now if the wife and kids are all home that's means I'm less likely to shoot. My two year old son was fearless before this happened now loud noises make him very very upset. The other day a large book fell and crashed on the hardwood floor very loudly. He screamed so damn loud l thought it hit him. He ran up to me asking if I was OK . he just kept asking daddy booboo daddy booboo. Its something I hope to never be forced to do especially with my children present.

All is well. No more issues other than the gap between the fingers. On another note my second son was born 7/15/2013 @ 10:40pm. Lucas Blake Golden 10 lbs 7 Oz 21.5inches healthy happy and all fingers and toes accounted for.
