So, I finally took the plunge and bought some rural acreage in north Georgia. Despite having a long list of things that needed to get done on the property, priorities being what they are, I immediately built a shooting bench.

Item number seventy-two on my list of things to do is build a shelter over the bench. In the meantime, don't laugh at my flower umbrella. It works. :)

Construction is 4x4 legs, 2x6 framing, and 5/4 decking for the benchtop and seat.

where did you find land and how much for it and how many acres did you get???? and nice looking bench....if the shade cover works.....

Nice. Just be sure to close the umbrella when you leave or it may be wadded up when you get back. I put my EZ-UP over my bench and left it one night and went back to a mangled pile of metal and fabric.
