Got a leak on an outside wall where it meets the ceiling, one story house. How can I determine if the leak is in the roof itself, or actually a leak in the siding??

Have you cleaned the gutters?
Can you get up into the attic and see if it's leaking from the roof and dripping down?
There is attic access, but not for my 300 pound carcass, can send the much lighter and limber grandson age 21. He could even take a couple photos.

House built in 2007, original roof. We are second owners, bought in November 2012.
have a fireplace, but not in this room. Not a factor.
The leak is in the master bedroom, a corner room with 2 outside walls. Leak is about 12 feet from the corner on the gable end of house.
