It’s their newest addition to the line up. The legs are non rotating like the PSR except this version doesn’t pan. I’ve never really needed the pan feature even shooting movers and hated when the bipod would get cocked a little. I bought it blindly in an introductory offer and when I received it I was a little disappointed. The tension was all or nothing. It would have been awesome for just stationary shooting because it locks up super tight and has a slightly wider footprint than other bipods making it super stable. Not being able to have that usable swivel adjustment was less than ideal for matches when you don’t really have time to mess with it on the clock. After some feed back from the first batch that went out the owner Kasey quickly came up with a solution to give the CAL that middle ground between tight and loose that most people wanted and shipped the parts out in a couple weeks along with instructions. After a few minutes I had them installed and after shooting it this morning I’m really happy with it.
I never studied bipods at first . Now that is the first thing I look at when thinking of a rifle .
Some are awesome and some really suck. Example is the Mg3 bipod . That crap either leans slightly back or tips all the way forward . That’s all you get.
The original mg42 bipod locks in like 20 different positions . I’ve since ditched the MG3 bipod and put the yugo m53 bipod on it .
I love mine and also love the fact that you can change to another base..Rubber pad to metal supports and unit adjust both forward and back to suit the shooter.
