High Point and SCCY are my two I have not and will not own. Shot a few at ranges and not impressed. All these brands have their place in the market. But not all of them will have a place in my safe. I like the accuracy of the Savage rifles, but hate the cheapness of the stocks. All the ones i have owned have had the Tupperware stocks replaced with a good aftermarket one.

Kimber. I would never own a Kimber. With the exception of their new revolver. You'll never see me accept a Kimber in a trade. Ever, even if it's"highly in my favor".

My favorite, never getting rid of 1911 is a Kimber.

I would stay away from Highpoints(ugly as ****) , Keltec's(plastic crap) Taurus (mostly junk, except 1911's) Colt semi auto's, except 1911, and plastic aftermarket kits on anything combloc or historical.

Old Kimber 1911s are fine. In fact, they're excellent. New ones, I agree with you. My 'smith won't touch them.
