Need camera advice

I have a sony a6000, a Nikon D90, and a Canon 6d. If I needed to choose just one, it would be the a6000. The biggest downside is the electronic viewfinder is nowhere near as good as an optical viewfinder (dslr) and the Sony lenses are expensive and not as many options. I would recommend you get your wife a Canon T6 or T6i. Lots of good affordable lenses. Same goes for a Nikon Dxxx series. Cannot go wrong.

Is it possible that your wife will get into hardcore photography? If so, stick with Canon or Nikon since those brand can take you as far as she will ever want to go.

If she just wants a good camera to make memories, as they say, then some of the "off" brands will offer a lot of bang for the buck. I would recommend AGAINST buying from a deal site. Lots of potential for catastrophes if you do (gray market, third party warranties, scams in general).
