I have a VZ 61 parts kit and a nice Skorpion receiver coming in next week. I can assemble 99% of the entire weapon but there is one rivet that needs to be set to attach the trigger guard to the receiver and this must be done prior to installing the FCG and all other parts.

Anyone out there who can help me put the rivet in Place ?

Here’s two examples of the rivet installed and a picture of the rivet

If it were mine, I would use this:

And a narrow bucking bar. If no offset driver available, a stout flat-bar across the open jaws of a vice, and drive it from the other side.

Can be set with a hammer and flat punch if no rivet gun is available.

I would measure rivet head, then drill a divit in a steel bar(that mimics the rivet head) that fits between bench vise jaws to support the rivet head. Then I would use an air hammer(rivet gun) to buck the rivet or you could just use a hammer and large punch. You will need help to hold it in position. The tail of the rivet should protrude thru not more than 3/32" so it will buck over properly
