I think the woman is gaming SWIM. Probably cheating with the guy who wrote it.

I enjoyed the book. It is nasty. It is disgusting. This guy is a total jackass-even by his own account. BUT-women fall all over him. It is more an introspective into the common female psyche than into what a douche this guy is. The dude is a complete tool, but he is honest-and honestly, he has one hell of a lot of women on his junk.

If you are very religious, and/or a very straight arrow-if you are easily offended DO NOT read that book. I repeat DO NOT read that book! You need a thick skin an a jaded view of the world. A messed up sense of humor helps as well. I have no doubt that it is true, and that this guy is just as much of a heartless tool as he portrays himself to be-but damn, if he don't get laid-a lot.

-He has a couple of relevant stories which are kinda relevant to SWIM's situation. And again-she will be/already is cheating. 100% certainty.

SWIM has known this girl for about 8 years. Shes intelligent, vibrant, and has a real sweet personality. On top of that she is drop dead gorgeous and has an absolutely smoking little body. SWIM is very close to this girl, and has been for a long time. For the last 6 years SWIM has had a very strong attraction to this girl that goes much deeper than just being sexual. Recently, SWIM has been seeing more of this girl and she and SWIM have been getting even closer. Not too long ago this girl confessed to SWIM that she has been harboring the same kind of feelings and SWIM told her that he felt the same way. Sounds awesome right? Well, not exactly...

This girl just so happens to be the ex-gf of one of SWIM's best friends. SWIM's friend was with this girl for several years and was really attached to her. (nothing ever happened between SWIM and the girl while they were together!) SWIM's friend has since moved on and has a new gf that he has been with for several years now.

Now SWIM is really having strong feelings for this girl but feels that it would still be "wrong" to date her. SWIM and this girl both want to date each other, but are very cautious about it. SWIM's brain is telling him that it is a bad idea and to just walk away but SWIM cares about this girl deeply and doesn't want to blow an opportunity to do something about it.

What do you guys think SWIM should do?
