Need stainless polished to mirror finish-ANYONE LOCAL?
Without imperfections" that is extra... whatcha got?
I have a BSTS Polished Colt 1911 that has a few tiny scratches on the slide from storage I want to polish out the scratches. I also occasionally want stainless revolvers polished.
Interested to see who responds... Always looking.
sounds like quality time with 600 / 1500 / 2000 grit followed by never dull
Hand work for sure. MO POWER always helps me screw it up faster. Learned how to do this on carbon steel. Required to perform field hardness tests for fire damaged steel. Comb your hair with it.
Not local, but if it were mine I’d send it to Ford’s Custom Refinishing in FL. They are THE shop when it comes to high polish finishes.

I have a 1911 slide that I would like to get polished at some point.

had one of my revolvers with a high polish finish on it. I do believe he said something to the effect of he got scared cause he could see his reflection in the side plate. LOL
