New 1911manufacturer ?

It is a nice looking gun however, that says nothing about it's performance. I know the Bersa thunder was a nice shooting gun. The one I shot was anyways. It was nice and tight and fairly accurate. 1,100 seems awful high though. There are a string of strong performers for less than that for sure. Bull Armory being one that is a ways under that price. I imagine they will come down a good bit after the market and end user dictates its place in the 1911 market.

Alpha foxtrot is a division of Dasan who made the 1911 frames PSA has sold in the past. Very decent stuff as far as the frames go.

Don't think there is a problem with Bersas, but I'd do some shopping before I paid 1100 for one.

The 1911 hasn't made it to their website yet. Was curious about the price.

The article says the Onyx will go $1000-$1150

There's not a lot new an innovative between the bazillion 1911 manufacturers out there now, why not one more? More options are always better for the consumer.

Last I checked, Alpha Foxtrot's manufacturing was in Duluth.......or maybe Lilburn? Their reps pop in the shop now and again and I've chatted with them.

If it is AF that is manufacturing, they could have moved or opened a second manufacturing location.
