Just to update this thread.

I saw recently on another forum that SA has changed the extended base pads for the Echelon mags. The profile / shape is different as is the retainer. I assume changes were made to help keep people from assembling these incorrectly and / or to help keep the base on the mag during rough handling.

In other news, Aaron Cowan has his review posted for his Patreon followers. He didn't have any problems with the gun itself but the optic did lose zero during the drop tests. He's saying a plate system that better supports the optic is probably needed for maximum durability.
