New-to-me M1 Carbine

I like the carbine a lot more than the AR. And I've used one for more than 40yrs. But I have to admit, the carbine won't out shoot an AR platform
Yeah the 30 Carbine round is this weird in between round that's hotter than pistol ammo but anemic compared to rifle rounds . When it was invented it was a nearly perfect caliber PDW platform. I just wish some company would offer any type of carbine or pistol in the 30 Carbine caliber now so that the ammo companies would start producing more ammo at cheaper prices.
The M1C will never be as user friendly or ergonomic as an AR. But neither is an AK and for whatever reason I dig ...no I LOVE both rifles a lot more than ARs. Color me old uncool and a non operator.

Taurus made a revolver in 30 carbine- the Raging Carbine. Always wanted one (along with the Raging Bee (218 bee) and Raging Hornet (22 Hornet)).

I've easily taken deer with the carbine. A quick double tap and down. Basically it's a 357. You're very limited with a 223. Ruger has and makes the Blackhawk in 30 Carbine. I love to see one, kind of an oddball.

Yeah the Blackhawk in 30 was a good idea on Ruger's part. During the brief production history at AMT they had an automag looking pistol in 30 Carbine. Very collectible these days.
It would be nice to see a big name brand do a model in 30 Carbine to sort of revive the caliber .

Best truck gun I've ever had

Would that not be an M2?
I never realized it until seeing a Forgotten Weapons video on the M2 Carbine. Turns out it was just a parts kit from the company or possibly military armorers that replaced existing semi only parts. No effect or permanent alterations had to be done to the receiver. In fact some of the rifles that were over stamped with M2 were stripped of the FA parts and sold as semi only through the CMP way back when.
