What would you all recommend for a self-defense round in 38? Non +P....

There is school of thought that prefers a full wadcutters due to low recoil, normally accurate and a full cutting profile. Google wadcutters defense there is a good bit of info.

I love shooting 38's. I shoot them well. I have gotten to the point I normally buy 9mm due to the heat in my shed but I load 38 due to the cost.

If I had to make a shot I would be hard pressed to find a gun I would rather have than my 4" 586 or even my 2" 60 both are never fed anything but 38's

why is it people dont care for the 38 anymore its all about the 357? aint like you goin out killin just shootin.

I don't own anything in 38 Special right now but if I had the funds I'm sure I would. As I've said before you can't have too many snubs and that has 38 Special written all over it. Right now I really like the look of the Armscor M200 and M206 snub nose.
