i had a 19 and the slide was a different serial # but it had a paper in the box from Glock where they changed it out for some reason , i think the one on the frame is the most important one

Exactly, if Glock does it they certify it.

My 23s slide frame and barrel are all different numbers. I got a good deal on it because of this, but it shoot just the same, and truth be told, I don't give a ****. Hell, half the time it has a .357 Sig or 9mm barrel in it anyway. Glocks are not collectible, and really in truth it doesn't matter. I don't have the box or docs for it either....GASP!!!

I would call him and bring it up, but as friends and not a dick. It may hurt value, but then again, glocks are common as he'll
I seriously doubt the PO even realized it had different numbers, I don't always inspect glocks for mismatched numbers, probably not everyone does either. Just run it by glock, tune it up and choot it!
