Yup my Specwar 5.56 K Helps just a little with my SBR making sound like a standard AR. But firing without the can will make your ears bleed.No it won't.
We were hoping that you'd make it down Friday night. It would've been nice to meet you.
I'm guessing that 11'' FAL I'm about done with won't sound any better will it

Just a little update on this project I've had going for some time.
After calling several so called gun Smith's I was denied the service of pinning the gas block to the barrel due to them both being melonite. This didn't sit to well with me so I ordered the BRD engineering superlative piston gas block jig w/ a couple of solid carbide bits and did the job myself.

Fast forward to Today. @FatAlbert and myself decided to go to the range and shoot a few toys so it was a prime opportunity for me to see if this build I conjured up in my head a year or so ago would actually function. Not only did it function flawlessly Dry/Wet, Unuppressed/Suppressed, we had zero malfunctions shooting it for several hours.
I'm pretty happy to say the least about this project. It had very minimal recoil impulse and shooting suppressed wasn't as bad as one would think.
Not to shabby for someone who's not into ARs much.
