Odd deer stand

We learned where the good spots were from the deer, staying in the woods watching, learning to read the sign. No bait, no cameras. I still hunt the same way. I do like the climbing stands, though. I don`t know how many times I have moved a climber(Treelounge) just a few feet to get a better view or position after I figured out a predominant travel route. Barrels and wooden platforms were hard to move. You didn`t.

That's too cool. I've found 3 similar on our lease. Two are still in trees. And like 24on48hunting 24on48hunting said, they are the best spots on the property
Same at my lease in Carroll. Seems like the folks who used to build stands in trees didn’t just do so in random spots. We’ve scouted and found some very productive spots and wouldn’t you know……we’d eventually find the remnants or at least the spikes left behind from old built stands in close proximity to the very spot where we set a stand up.
