Off the shelf steak marinade - who can recommend a good one?

Per steak
2 teaspoons olive oil
2- teaspoons soy sauce or westershire I like westershire best
1-teaspoon coffee
1 teaspoon Montreal steak seasoning
Usually poor on top of steaks 2-3 hour before cooking

Ewwwww... the crap some of y'all do to "steak".
First of all, if it ain't ribeye, NY strip, or Porterhouse/T-bone, it 's not steak... it's meat.
Second, if it is one of those named, a little salt and pepper when you throw it on the grill should do ya.
And don't let some woman tell you "well done"". Ick.

I marinade my steaks with a little Worcestershire and whatever bourbons I have laying around that I don't like drinking.

Yea it's pricier than other marinades, but if I'm buying new bourbons to try anyway, it gives me a good way to dispose of the ones I don't like.

I do that with baked beans.

Now I've heard it all. You marinate steak in baked beans? That's over the top weird.

Hell naw! Add bourbon to the pot of baked beans. Along with bacon, onions, bell pepper and whatever else gets close to the chopping board. Sausage sometimes.
