Ok so I'm going to re press my barrel but everyone says to buy a new one when doing this but my questions is why the barrel aren't faulty to long or to short so am I missing anything or are the people that had there's done just sold a barrel because hell you already have an old one out so why not. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

..........................................update.........................................

I got home and had two mags each half loaded with 20 rounds each my first five shots went perfectly. Then sadness every other to every shot stove piped it would strip a new round and half chamber it but wouldnt fully eject the spent casing. I then loaded both mags up and cycled them threw it by hand with no issues loaded back up and stove pipe city. I went in and broke the gun down and cleaned the chamber with a thirty cal brush it was filthy I then disassembled the bolt completly and found my rollers to be nasty nasty nasty and very dry so I got them spotless put a very very light coat of lucus gun oil on them put everything back together and stepped off the back deck. But something completely unexpected happend I was grinning from ear to ear it ran like a top so much so that I put 180 rounds threw it tonight... I stepped back inside and check my bolt gap and it was .011 that made me even more happy and went right back outside and dumped a mag as fast as I could pull the trigger and it was sweet. I then checked bolt gap again when hot and then when cold it was still .011 ( the rifle had got really dirty when I was handling it today at work since I had to keep tearing it down and putting it back together and I did drop the bolt in a pretty big dust pile I guess I was just to anxiuos to see if my fix worked)

I hope this was helpful to those with this rifle or a buddy with one. You dont even need to change out your rollers you just set headspace and bolt gap with your current setup or go back to stock. But just don't be a tard like me remember that if YOU NEED MORE GAP THE BARREL NEEDS TO BE PRESSED FURTHER IN IF YOU NEED LESS GAP THE BARREL NEEDS TO BE PRESSED OUT. There if I could have found that on the world wide web somewhere it would have saved me some head scratching. For some reason it seems opposite to me but ooh well. I went from having a hunk of scrap metal to fine fire arm.

If the barrel is good to go, use it

Ok so I just got done re pressing my old barrel and it head spaced out prefect now so I can't wait to get home from work and shoot I will update this when I shoot and see if my problems are solved.

The head space was .000 now it is .016 so it is high but after a couple hundred rou ds it should settle to around .012 would be my guess

You are correct, it'll drop around .004 after 100 rounds or so. Thats how I headspaced my Cetme when I built it, sounds like you know exactly what you're doing. That is, as long as you knew to use an oversize barrel pin.

Yes I did use an over sized barrel pin I had to make though the one I ordered was 5.10mm well I didn't really make it but I turned it down to a 5.05 which made a huge difference as my trunion wasnt as streched out as I thought it would be.

Only an hour left to my work day and I get to take this thing home and run a mag or two threw it and update this post hopefully it will be helpful.

Why didnt you just replace the rollers and locking piece first since the locking piece will wear and the rollers are there in multiple sizes for such.
Seems like you did more than neccessary
