All gone. That’s just the ones on this phone over the last 10 years. Got a new pack (6) now. But those 2 aussies and the black cat are the ones I miss the most. Great thread to keep alive.

Our boy Duke…

Every dog I've ever had was that way except my first dog I got as a gift, a female Rottweiler named Isis(the goddess of wind) because she farted when I picked her up. She passed in 2004 at 10 years old. The day we brought our daughter home from the hospital Isis wanted to sleep next to her crib every night or wherever my little girl was. She'd come into our room and wimper and cry for us to get up when my little girl would stir. I don't know about other animals but I believe with all my heart once you love a dog they develope a spirit or take part of yours
I don't know if they take part of your spirit but they sure take a piece of your heart.

Don't think I ever posted in this thread. This is my Boy Scout. We bought a range and microwave from a family remodeling their kitchen and walked away with their six-month old Golden. We already had two at home. When we looked at the appliances, this beautiful pup comes and presses his nose against the kitchen French doors. I told the guy, that the pup was the most beautiful Golden I've ever seen. He asked me if I wanted him. I said, absolutely. Wife didn't know until we went back the next day with a trailer to pick up the range and microwave. The guy's wife started giving my wife all this dog stuff. My wife didn't have a clue.

Scout literally saved me at a very, very dark time in my life. When my VA doctor told me I could get a service animal, I contacted a train-the-trainer organization to see if Scout was eligible. He was older than they preferred, but because of our relationship, they approved us for the training.

Most amazing companion I've ever had. We worked together for 7 years before he passed Palm Sunday of 2020 at the age of 12. Many members here had the opportunity to meet him. He was a gentle giant at 105 lbs; all muscle. His ashes will be buried with me at the National Cemetery in Canton.
