so, i have a pocket pistol that has some wear. the serial numbers themselves are getting really hard to see, and while i know its a felony to intentionally remove or change the serial numbers on a gun, what if it occurs "naturally"? further, do i have a duty to correct or reverse this wear on my handgun (i could get some etching compound er something and go back over the numbers)
