Hell if 12 bucks a year is a deal breaker then you can't afford to shoot a gun anyways. This is the cost of one 50 round box of 9mm per year. so give up one box of ammo a year and help keep the sight going.

If the firearms community doesn't support sites like this one we have no room to complain about not having a legitimate outlet to gather, trade, sell and discuss firearms. I don't know the expense of running a sight like this but I enjoy using this site and support whatever needs to be done to help keep it going.
Thank you O.D.T!

As to bashing someone over an overpriced item .....will you also alert someone to the fact that their item is UNDER priced, and they should ask far more?

Or will you just try and buy it?
Man, that's how you solicit bids on your item. Start it lower than market value and then play coy, "I don't rally know whut it's worff, PM me yer offers!"

Sure. Because it's not the deal we made when this whole thing started and I joined on day two. Then it was a sight for selling and trading of firearms exclusively and required no buy in.

I know the sight has grown exponentially since then and I bet the cost to operate has too. I thought the "Supporter" membership/moniker and the "extras" that came with it was good move to generate income, although I think in some cases it quickly grew into a symbol of self aggrandized chest thumping assholery and was the reason I chose to donate to the sight instead of purchasing the banner, but that's a while other thread.

I understand you need to do what you think is best for the site. I have zero issue with that, really, zero. It's just not the deal we shook cyber hands on 9 years ago. It's what you need now to be viable, I get it. I simply will choose not to sell on a sight that charges, actual cost aside, when I can do that same business elsewhere without having to pay for the privilege.

Okuma this is a great sight. My hat's off to you for the work you have done to grow this thing. Contrary to the vocal minority's belief, it is one of the most open, least moderated, entertaining sites around. I have no hard feelings over the changes to come.

I appreciate this conversation and I hope nothing comes across as smart-ass or anything, I'm just having a hard time reconciling some of your comments with myself. To me it reads like "this site is one of the best around but not worth $1 a month (.83 if done annually.)"

And to be fair on day two when we made this deal the site was running on $5 a month godaddy servers and stock vbulletin software. :D
