Mandatory Pay to Play is no bueno. I'm an on/off supporter(so Idk what my word means to some because im not currently bannered)

You need to give more incentive to pay.
-I suggest if you need to generate income,
limit the non-payers posting to 1 classified ad per month( If people post more than one item in ad like "Glock 17 for $900 and Walther PPQ for $500" that post be removed by mods and a warning issued for first offenders.)
-make tiers of subscriptions (other than just the multi-year supporter)
example:
"Trader" $5/yr unlimited classifieds,
"Trader Premier" $12/yr no ads and unlimited classifieds.
"supporter" $18/yr all inclusive with what the supporter status currently offers plus unlimited trading, and no ads (thus bring value to the increase)
"Supporter Premier" $22/yr....suggestion??? more features??? Freeby jerk post? Scrap it?

Mirco-transactions are poison. Several supporters voiced they would be willing to pay...increasing their dues to post unlimited ads by $3 dollars it shouldnt be a problem. It would be stupid redundant to someone that logs on 5 times a year just to post a few items throughout the year. "let me bust out my readers to pay $1 dollar for a whole month of posting and enter this CC number" every time they wanted to post.
The "Free" tier...where I currently sit :P would draw $5 bucks out of me so fast for the ability to post multiple classified ads. I don't mind not having the features that come with being a supporter or seeing ads everywhere.

I haven’t seen anything that suggests that PayPal would be required. Might have missed someone suggesting that but Okuma has made it plain that there are multiple avenues to make payments.

The dollar wouldn't be so bad if everyone had to use "common sense" pricing. Got a couple of my "points" because of price stupidity. If you over price weapons as I've seen, the only thing I see in that, is folks paying a premium for guns they probably shouldn't have. Trust this, It only takes 1 time to answer your front door and a couple ATF agents standing there wanting to talk to you about guns.

Price your weapons fairly, then you won't have the ATF knocking on your door, and don't worry about what the other person is doing.
In other words MYOB.

With respect to the question posed in the poll, I don’t know enough to be able to answer it.

Rephrasing the poll question to address the impact to me, the answer is that it would minimally hurt the site because I rarely post anything for sale.

I suggest that that a better approach is to make being a supporter more valuable so that there is an incentive to become a supporter. For example, limit non-supporters to one ad at a time per forum; require the one ad to contain only one item or one set of related items (e.g., consecutive serial numbered items; item plus Accessories; a box set; etc.); not allow ad bumping or renewal; disallow commenting to the ad; 24 hour time-out between closing one ad and posting another one; etc. This allows the occasional seller to post an item for sale while giving supporters much greater flexibility and ability to market and sell their items.

You should charge anyone that posts a used firearm/item within 10% of new price. Members or not. If I can spend an extra 10% or so and get brand new the ad is just annoying white noise. Maybe non member ads that are for sale only without a trade option charged? I dont know. I'd hate to turn off new users. Wouldnt be opposed to paying an extra few bucks on membership either. Like the idea of different membership levels. I'd buy some odt swag if you could make some profit on something like that. Good quality fitted hats, t shirts and hoodies are go to's.
