We have a member that works for Polk county. Or at least did work there. If he sees this, he can maybe point us in the right direction of anything we can do.

Here is a legit site to donate to the family to help cover immediate (funeral, cost of living for a few months) expenses. The State and Federal Government do an excellent job of taking care of the family of fallen officers for the long term, but it takes a month or two to get it all sorted out.
