If you like Texas style bbq, Fox Brothers all day long. (And they happen to have the best smoked wings in the world!)

Locally, on the south side, Ohio Hog company is not bad when I’m too lazy cook. But to be honest, I prefer my own bbq — it’s Inexpensive to do it myself and better than most places I’ve given my business to.

Fox Brothers is solid. I haven’t been there in a while. I may make it down there this week but I’m trying to hit all new spots if possible.

As for yours.....send a plate my way and I’ll post up a review!

A couple of folks have mentioned North Georgia BBQ (in Dahlonega and Cleveland) but if you are coming to Dahlonega, try the Farmhouse Produce and BBQ kitchen (at Hwy 115 and GA52) about 1.3 miles straight down from Dahlonega Gold and Pawn. A double win!!!

My only experience with Fox Brothers was perhaps the worst BBQ experience I’ve had in ages. I had ribs, fries, and Brunswick stew. The ribs were absolutely appalling in taste. I had to eat 2 pieces of gum afterwards to get rid of the taste. The fries were seemingly reheated in a microwave, then sat under a heat lamp until they were so dry they crumbled when I picked them up. The Brunswick stew was palatable, but not great. It was hard to differentiate the supposed brisket pieces from anything else. The service was atrocious and non existent. The waitress asked if I wanted a refill when she brought the check, I said yes, then she never brought one. She didn’t even comment that I barely ate any of my food. Seemed like she was angry at me being there. The only way I’d go back is if I happen to be driving by and I’m really, really hungry, and not much else is open.

I think you are going to have to take the month of February and maybe March off also.
You’re not kidding:
