Stonewall's in Braselton is hands down the best bbq I've ever had. So good it doesn't even need sauce. I like to get the General Lee, a pulled pork bbq sandwich with coleslaw on it. Side of cheesey potato casserole and bread pudding for dessert.
The only one to come close was Buckshot Saloon in Kingdom City MO, but they shut down a few years ago. Use to go that way for work once or twice a year. They had a really good carolina gold sauce.

Haven't heard of it, but would like to try it.
J&L Wild West BBQ in Loganville. Brisket is very good, but runs out before weekend usually. Pulled pork, smoked chicken, Brunswick stew and hand cut fries are all good and generous portions.

Wife and I ate there Sunday and it occurred to me that I've NEVER been disappointed with their BBQ! The Brisket was perfect as usual, they nailed the chicken, pork and ribs and I freaking love their Brunswick stew! They are consistent and have the formula down pat.

i need to get one of those 'passport' books and write all these places down..i love trying new bbq joints. I guess the best ribs I ever had came from a gas station/yard cooker on 441 in Milledgeville.
