When reloading for the M1A, why all the worry about the powder. The Mini 30 is almost the same design as the M1A and it will eat most anything. I have both and reload for the M1A but not for the Mini 30, you can buy 7.62x39 cheaper than you can reload them.
I use H4895 now, just wondering if a faster or a slower powder would make all that much difference. What say?

remember almost only counts in horshoes and hand grenades, not in reloading. To answer ? YES faster and slower powders can make a differnce, the size of the difference can be minimal or dramatic, also your powder type will effect how much case capacity your using. So study the manual and be safe.

I ain't too sure of what it is you're asking? Functional issues can be real on the M1A.

There's only one surefire way to get your answer(s). Load em' and see first hand.
