I posted an ad for a really old and super rare safe a few months back.....
“What you are looking at is a rare Samuel Withers & Co double door safe, we believe this safe was made for Samuel Withers older brother Edward Arundall because of the markings (the “president”) and where it was located.
“Edward migrated to America and set up a very successful engineering business in Marietta, Georgia.”

Soooooooooooooo tonight I receive a message on eBay from what turns out to be from the grandson, he still runs / owns the engineering business and he really really wants the safe back in the family.
Long story short I took a lot less then I wanted, he will pick it up in the next day or two but it feels like the right thing to do.
