Question about browning BLR

Mines gold trigger John Moses can you date it by the serial number?
It was my first rifle, my grandpa gave it to me when i was 9...but he had it years before that. I killed my first deer with it, missed my first deer with it (i got had the shakes lol) and about 10 years ago i didnt have the mag in the gun good and it fell out in a cow pasture. Now im ready to take it out of retirement and give it to my boy.

Will any SA BLR mag go in any SA BLR? Im looking for a .243 mag but i found one on eBay for a 22-250. Will it work?

22-250 is based on the 250-3000 cartridge case. The .243 is based on the .308. The cartridge cases are different lengths. As mentioned earlier, the magazines for the .308 and .358 will work.
