My mistake on my last comment. Was thinking it was a little spicier.

110 gr vmax with great success, year after year. Palmetto state has some loaded by AAC right now for fair pricing. I’ve only ever ran Hornady factory and handloads in the 110 gr, but have had pretty good success with AAC in other calibers.

I’m running a 16 inch bolt gun and 150 gr federal game rounds. Got 3 does last year all dropped within 20 yards. Hit a decent 8 point made it about 100 yards. Took a while to find blood. Was not a great shot on my part on that one. He was quartered and away and I hit high on him. Have some 110 A max to try this year. No exit wounds on any of them. All were shot with in 50 or so yards
In the past I used the same 110 Barnes ammo as well, but ultimately decided to hunt deer with the 'ol .308 instead of a round designed to hunt humans.
