Question for you 300BO deer hunters...

I shoot a 300blk, 16” carbine.
My kids and I have had numerous one shot kills with 130 gr Barnes TSX’s. Some of those were fairly large deer and hogs.
My daughter’s deer was a 90 yard shot.
I shot the other buck in the pic at 110 yards and he dropped in his tracks. Complete pass through with good expansion.

My issue was shooting 150gr out of an 8.5 in barrel. Not sure if the 8in suppressor added to it will make any difference.

With whitetails in mind, I’d opt for a lighter, faster bullet thats designed to penetrate. Bonded or monolithic would be your best bet. The Barnes 110 gr Tac TX would be poison on deer and pigs.

I've taken three with 300BO from a Ruger American ranch 16" bbl. Two with Hornady #3010 110 gr soft point hand loads at about 2300fps. One with Remington factory 120gr OTP. All worked well at under 100 yards. The Remington left a really nice exit and great blood trail.
