Recently I was in the market for a chainsaw. This is what I found

I use that canned gas these days.
I pulled out my homlite that I picked up during the ice storm in '12.
I did run it dry last time I used it which was at least two years ago.
Two pulls to start it.
(The clutch seemed gummed up though)

i've started using the canned mix.

It's expensive, but so is getting a carb rebuilt, or pouring out a half gas can of mix.

I don't use the saw and weedwhacker enough to keep a gas can of mix fresh, and the canned stuff just gives me piece of mind.

Anyone have experience with Jonsered Brand?
I see that their parent company is Husqvarna. Is that their pro line maybe???

I have two echo saws and two stihl saws in the pro grade. The stihls are hands down better, one I have had and used regularly for 30+ years and once you understand the starting procedure, they start on the first pull. Regardless, the key to having any saw start regularly, is that you have to start them regularly, warm them up, cut something.....say once a month or so.

Echo is a good product. You will be happy.

I have three Stihls and do not find them hard to start. If anyone is about to trash a Stihl please send it my way.
