love my 5-25x...got it from Burdy

it doesn't have a forgiving eye box. but it is short as ****, and very clear.

Want to see short? Get a Nikon p223 3x. Lol

Same features as the 5-25 eotech…or so I’m told.

Do you know what EOtechs thinking was to the 3-18 being a “normal” scope but them going ultra short in the 5-25? I have the 3-18 and it’s an impressive scope. I’m assuming (key word, assume) that glass is better than the 5-25.

There are always optical compromises in a shorter tube, just like there is with erectors for wide magnification ranges. The 5-25 was designed by a different product manager who came on after the 3-18 and was designed with clip-on NV/thermal use in mind. The glass is the same, but the prescription is different to deal with some of the shortcomings you see in shorter scopes like CA and stray light.
