Does anyone know if the bolt spacing on the SPS Tactical is the same between the .223 & .308 rifles?

If someone has it .223 and is willing to measure them and send it to me, that would answer the question because my son has
a .308 version.

ANSWER: Had someone PM me that has one...the .223 in fact is the 6.5 inch spacing on the action bolts. So it matches the rest of the Remington 700 short actions such as .243, .308, etc.

That is the question...is the REM700 SPS tactical in .223 a short action (the same as the SPS Tactical in .308) I only ask because I don't have one (yet) and I want to make sure before buying one sight unseen or driving to go see one.

All Remington short actions have a 6.5" reciever screw spacing, the long action uses 7.5" spacing. All the small calibers are short action ie .308 .243 .223 et al. .270 and larger use a long action.

Cool, I was just worried that the .223 might use the remington 7 action spacing of 5 and 15/16 or something just a little enough different to screw up my plans. Thanks.
