Remember these little handy dandy things?

Nope. I do not buy that answer. I grew up working on cars that had glass fuses. Never saw anything like that in the older guys tool boxes, or being used, or in the cars. I won't rest until I figure out what they are. Unless I forget about this thread when I see something shiny.
they came out of a '66 F100 I had years ago. Every fuse had them
unsure if they were on it from factory or if a previous owner put them on.

Nothing personal but I'm thinking somebody was trying to electrocute you, and set a trap...
Metal to pull on metal (because glass breaks, ya know?:)), to break a circuit?
American Design wasn't that stupid in 1966, that came later :doh:.
