I have a friend trying to sell me a remington model 4 semi auto.It is the 270 caliber and is synthetic with what looks like a tree bark pattern.I can't find any real info on it so any help would be appreciated thanks.

Every modern selfloading Model Four that I remember was simply a 7400 with upgraded wood and a bullet case symbol on it. It may have had the furniture changed on it? I'd value it the same as a 7400 in the same condition.
yep, just a refined, redesigned model 742/7400 woodmasters from Remington.
Not sure if Remington offered this in a synthetic camo stock or not but there are a bunch of companies that sold/sell aftermarket composite stocks with about every camo pattern you can think of.
I would fiire the gun to be sure of function as Remington semi autoes have been known to have cycling problems, as in they tend to jam.
