So everything with a motor has a battery. I have lots of batteries to keep charged as I do not drive or run all the equipment several times a month.
To keep from running another circuit to my pole barn, I put a 20W solar panel on the roof and hooked it to a battery maintainer intended for solar panels.
One of these.
And these
Then just ran some low voltage wire from the panel to the tender, and hooked up some leads to the tender with spring clamps on the leads.
Now I just switch the leads from vehicle to vehicle every few days, and no more jumping the farm truck, or jeep, or tractor, or lawn mower, or, or, .....
It puts out about an amp or so and has worked great for the last 6 months.
Total cost under 50 bucks and well worth it to me.
(20 bucks for a 20 watt solar panel that does not come with leads pre soldered, and 19 bucks for the battery tender ordered from an internet walmart vendor (whatever that is))
