Removing cerakote

Not difficult at all. Sandblaster is ideal, sandpaper will work but is messy and it's hard to get in the hard to reach places. For those use a wire wheel on a dremel. Don't bother with any chemical stripper they will have no effect.

I am considering a gun but I do not share in the sellers appreciation of the color or pattern he has had in coated in.
If you're thinking you can remove the cerakote while keeping the factory finish intact that's not gonna happen with cerakote. It will need to be refinished so factor that in to your decision.

Just sandpaper the edges and call it battle worn.

The good thing about cerakote is it's durability until you want to remove it.
