Did you get the new one? I want the new double stack when the price is right. Or the Kimber? , I heard it’s one of the softest shooting 2011’s. The DLC coating looks cool imo.

The argument that “reports” - many of which have been walked back - substantiate “truth” and “absolute proof of a problem” don’t hold water at least for me. The bans by commercial enterprises are just “liability shedding” which I guess I understand, but the bans themselves are proof of nothing.
It’s so rabid I wonder who’s fanning the flame? Any chance the losing manufacturers have anything to do with the “reports” since they all lost major contracts to SIG? I’m sure the anti2A crowd is loving it and it’s easy to see them fanning the flame.
So what’s the latest from SIG? They are on the hook over everyone. That, I’m interested in most.

SIG is not the only manufacturer to see that type of design encounter...issues.

I figured it was mostly user error but the range I work at showed me how to replicate them firing without the trigger being pulled. Many do it. We offer $25 on trade now for them.

After being sued Taurus actually had a mass recall and bought back old models or repaired/replaced. Hopefully Sig will do the same before being sued.
I feel like the PT1911 is one of the best budget 1911's on the market to upgrade and makes a fine 1911 after mods are done. You don't know how much crap I get for that belief. To here someone else support a Taurus so confidently is a welcome surprise.
As far as the P320 I have heard all the hoopla but everyone is sure to squeeze out a turd every now and then. That's just life. 🤪
