Ruger 10-22 and CCI Quiet ammo............................Question

Can a Ruger 10-22 be modified so it will cycle with CCI Quiet rounds? If so what modifications are required?

Use a : Volquartsen Firefly Bolt for Ruger 10/22 1022 for CCI Quiet 22 LR cartridge

Or you can shoot the CCI regular subsonics. They cycle by stock 10/22 with no problem.

This is what I have done ... lighten the hammer weight to 5 oz and a kidd 10% weaker spring (or you can cut coils from stock spring )..and keep gun clean.

Will that allow the CCI Quiet to cycle the weapon?

The Kidd charging handle comes with 3 different weight springs;

a medium for HV ammo CCI MiniMags, Federal Auto match, etc.,

a 10% lighter weight for subsonic,

and a 10% heavier weight for Stingers, etc highest velocity 22 ammo.

Oh, and the Volquartsen Firefly bolt too.
